Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RouteRally mobile application and related services ("RouteRally", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using RouteRally, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RouteRally.

1. Eligibility

You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Driving and navigation features assume you hold a valid driver's licence and are legally permitted to drive the vehicle you are operating.

2. Safe Use While Driving

RouteRally is a driver's aid, not a substitute for safe driving and your own judgement. You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully at all times.

• Do not interact with the App while the vehicle is moving. Set up navigation, recording, or convoy features before you start driving, or while safely parked.
• Always obey all traffic laws, speed limits, signage, and road conditions.
• Navigation directions, routes, scores, and other information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on them where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.
• "Sporty", "technical", or similar route scores describe road character only and are not an invitation to drive at unsafe or illegal speeds.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account; see the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled on deletion.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of routes, photos, captions, ratings, comments, and other content you create ("User Content"). You grant RouteRally a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content as needed to operate the service and to show it to the audiences you choose (e.g. the public, your followers, or a group).

You are responsible for your User Content and must not post anything that:

• is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or violates others' privacy;
• discloses another person's private information without consent;
• promotes dangerous, reckless, or illegal driving; or
• harasses, threatens, or endangers others.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Community, Groups & Convoys

RouteRally lets you join groups and participate in real-time group drives ("convoys") with other people. Other users are not vetted by us.

• Meet in public places and use your own judgement before joining a drive with people you do not know.
• During a convoy, your live location is shared with the other participants of that convoy (see the Privacy Policy).
• You participate in drives, meet-ups, and convoys at your own risk.

6. Location & Recording

RouteRally collects and processes location data to provide navigation, drive recording, and convoy features, including in the background where you enable it (for example, so a convoy leader can keep broadcasting with the screen off). See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and how it is used and shared.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access data that is not yours, interfering with the service's operation, scraping, or using the App to violate any law.

8. Disclaimers

RouteRally is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of maps, routes, or other data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RouteRally and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the App or your conduct while driving, participating in a drive, or interacting with other users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be set by counsel], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will update the date above and may require you to accept the revised Terms before continuing to use the App. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
